About Kashef

I have championed transparent governance, community collaboration, and solutions to local challenges such as housing affordability and public infrastructure.

I have been a committed civic leader and public servant focused on building an inclusive and engaged community. Elected as a councilmember in 2022, I previously served as Vice Mayor of Dublin (2025), where I championed transparent governance, community collaboration, and solutions to local challenges such as housing affordability and public infrastructure.

I serve as Board President of the Alameda County Mosquito Abatement District (ACMAD), leading efforts in public health and environmental stewardship. I also represent local interests regionally and nationally as a Board Member of the National League of Cities, Asian Pacific American Municipal Officers (APAMO) Caucus, and through active participation in local policy development on the League of California Cities Community Services Policy Committee.

My regional leadership includes service on the Federal and Military Communities Committee, the i-GATE Board, Dublin Pride – Integrity in Action, the Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) Liaison Committee, and the Dublin Finance and Investment Committee (FIC).

Earlier civic engagement includes the TriValley Affordable Housing Committee, the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) General Assembly, the Alameda County Housing Authority, along with the Alameda County Fire Department Advisory Committee and the Alameda County Library Advisory Commission.
